Blast Away the Winter Blues in your Home!
This time of year, after all the holidays have gone and lights are down, houses look less inviting and cozy than they did a few weeks ago. Here are a few quick and easy tips to reinventing your space.
For your interior:
· Shop locally and find a great new throw at your favorite boutique or second-hand store shops so put them to use and grab a cozy throw for your sofa.
· Also pick up some candles in scents such as vanilla, cinnamon or apple. Placing them throughout your home will work best to help your space be warm and inviting!
· Make sure you are getting the most out of your energy bill by installing a programmable thermostat. You can set it to maintain one temperature while you are away from home and then set it for your favorite, cozy temp for when you are there to enjoy it!
For your porch:
· Rosemary (or any other evergreen) in a brightly colored pot will be sure to brighten up your porch and your mood! If you prefer not to water, a colorful silk arrangement is a great idea.
· Setting a colorful rug outside your door helps your neighbors feel welcome!
